We can change, and the

planet needs us to.

The world’s forests

can’t solve human

induced climate change

by themselves, even

though they’re pretty

amazing.

We need to protect and

enhance global forest

ecosystems, while also

doing the mahi and

designing carbon

emissions out of our

way of life.

Since 1990, it is estimated that 420 million hectares of forest have been lost globally through conversion to other land uses, although the rate of deforestation has decreased over the past 30 years.

60% of the planet’s forests are located in just 7 countries: Brazil, Canada, China, Indonesia, Russia, United States and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
